I had no issue with that whatsoever on my K1200GT. Rode it in rain, sleet, snow, cold weather, warm weather, ....

I am seriously thinking about a new windshield and think that the CA might be what I am looking for.

My bike, by mistake came with the GT windshield and I'm just wondering if the buffeting that I am getting from it would go away with the regular GTL windshield that it was supposed to come with or if there would be a nice difference going with the CA?

I might even be open to swaping with someone who would like to try mine on their bike. I'm in Tampa, FL.

I get substantial buffeting from my stock GTL screen. I am planning on going to a CeeBailey's or CalSci -- my past experience with CalSci screens was very positive, so I'm looking forward to seeing first-hand reports when their new screen hits. The CeeBailey's screen is already getting good reviews. I would definitely NOT invest the money in purchasing an OE GTL screen.

Just got my CalSci extra tall winshield and installed it. Excellent coverage heighth wise and width. My bike is now awesome. Even got a microfiber towell and cleaner. If you are a big guy call Mark at CalSci. I have a GT windshield, and a BMW tall windshield for sale if someone would like one. Best for shorter riders.

What about the &$$));;:wind noise? Is it $250 quieter?

Thanks Mark = That's the information I was looking for.

(I can't believe that I'm already plotting out a 1,500 ! Tampa, Miami, Charleston, Atl and back to Tampa. 1,568.)

Absolutely quieter. Keeps the wind from buffiting my shoulders, too. Haven't driven it in the rain yet. Best $ so far.

Fred,

What made you decide to choose the CalSci rather than the CeeBailey windshield? I am interested in getting a replacement for the OE but I would like to understand what the benefits are for each shield. Does the vent hole let through a lot of wind?

I had a Cee Bailey on my R1200RT and loved it! Can't explain why, but I decided to go with the calsci for this bike. I spoke with Mark on the phone and I guess I fell for the hype. I should have the shield on Friday. To bad I still have another week or two before I get my bike. I could tell from test riding the GTL that the wind turbulence was bad for me. When I raised the windshield all the way up I was forced to look through the windshield. I'm hopping this will do a better job of blocking the wind turbulence. I sounds like they put a lot of time into the design and know what they are doing. I'll report back once I get the bike and shield

Is anyone else going to weigh in on what is the quitest windshield for the GTL? I'm going to order soon and want to make the right decision based on the reports. The one thing I know for sure is that the stock windshield sucks.
