Clearwater Lights Krista (GT Mirror Mount)

Has anybody looked at the new GT Mirror mount for the Clearwater Krista Lights? Seems like it would work on the GTL too. I'm really interested in the mirror mount itself as the Krista and Glenda lights aren't bright enough for my use case

Link to the install literature from their website (pdf)

Still looking for a way to get auxiliary lights at headlight height.

I don't think Glenn has these available yet. Soon though.

We saw the prototypes at MOA this very hot summer and they look good. Solid and sturdy mounts.

If you want to turn the night into day, these are the right lights.

I stopped by Clearwater Lights this morning and talked to Glenn. The K1600 Krista mounting brackets were scheduled to arrived yesterday. Still haven't seen them, so any time now.

As a side note, the Krista mounting brackets for the K12/13 GT should arrive in the same shipment.

How do the Glenda Krista lights compare to the long distance spot of something like a PIAA 910?

Hmm - the K1600GT mounts are still not listed on their website. Will be calling again on Monday to see if there are any sets yet available.

Ugh. They say that the PDF shouldn't be on the website, and they aren't available yet. Evidently there is still work to be done to finalize the mounting kit. I'm on their waitlist, and will post up here as soon as I learn any more.

On the same note, how much better are Kristas then Glendas? Worth the difference for road use?

Kristas specs says 5X the light of the Glendas. I did talk to Glenn at the IMS in San Mateo. I asked how they compared to the 910's as I still have my set off of the ST1300 I sold. He told me they are close to the 910's. I would consider the Glendas as a light to make you visible in the day time and give you some close light at night. I do like how they Clearwaters dim and the full bright when you hit your horn. The Kristas are nice looking but a lot of $$$ for me.

I'm getting a set of the Denali D2's. They seem to offer similar performance for a lot less. But I will go the Clearwater route if someone can convince me that they are worth 350 dollars more. Thanks in advance.
