Highway pegs for AltRider Engine Protection Bars

My BMW shop tells me (I get it back today) that they were able to fit Illium Highway Pegs on the installed AltRider Engine Protection Bars but they told me that the angle was unnatural. So I told them to leave the Illiums off.

They did tell me that the BMW LEDs fit cleanly and perfectly on the Altriders as advertised.

Any recommendations for the pegs?

Illium now makes a peg for the AltRider K1600 bars, fully adjustable and very well made.

I wonder if they make it in black? I have the Altrider black protection bars and would like the highway pegs to match. I've emailed Illium to see if they have or will be making it in black.

I just installed the pegs on my AltRider bars. While they are not in the perfect position for me but proved the needed leg stretch I desired. No regrets.

I waited to post on this topic until I painted the pegs. I bought the Altrider bars in black to better match the red GT. But the versatile pegs only come in silver. They suggested that I paint the pegs myself. So I did in flat black. I think they came out OK. They blend in much better. I disliked the eye catching look of the pegs in silver.

The pegs definitely extend out even farther than the bars, so I will only have them attached for highway use. Otherwise, four quick bolts of per side, and I can leave only the brackets attached for the twisties. I'll let you all know how it goes when I can start riding again.
