How low can you go.......

So I took a trip today and tried to squeeze out every bit of fuel on the ride.....not because I wanted to but because I only wanted to refuel once at the end of the ride. The readout said I had 19 miles remaining before burn out. I put 6.7 gallons in the tank. How low have you guys run the bike down, and how accurate is the fuel remaining read out? Zero miles - flame out? Just curious......

I've gone past 0, and it still took way less than 7 gallons to fill it up; so I don't think mine is real accurate. Or I may not be filling it all the way.

Thanks for all you do,
Darryl

Missed gas stops at Ontario OR. few days ago on I-84 west in eastern Oregon, they were on the wrong side of the freeway, and no exit for me to use. Kept an eye on the range, and low fuel light. When I got to Baker City from Jerome ID.,240 miles mostly at 80+ mph., the range said 4 miles, and the tank took 6.890 gal.

Worst part, the temperature when we crested a pass was 34.8. Don't know what the wind chill was at 75.... & I really don't want to know. Left Idaho at 5:45 AM, spent hours in Portland stop and go traffic, got home to the coast at 7 PM. Man an I glad I live in a very small town, population around 1400, and one stop light.

I've managed to get 25.1 litres into my 24.5lt tank. Ignored the distance to go, I was more concerned with finding the petrol station!

Methinks it's pretty accurate. I had a little learning opportunity going east from Bakersfield, CA on 178.....

I don't remember the gallons it took to fill but the miles to empty was saying 1 when she ran out of fuel on a off ramp. I was able to coast off the ramp and find a safe spot to stop. I couldn't remember which side has the fuel pickup in the tank so I leaned the bike as far as I could over to one side and hit the starter, no joy, leaned it the other way and she fired right up, made it the 500 ft to the gas station.

That is impressive......good on ya for remembering to get the last little bit out. I appreciate all the feedback. I'll make sure I don't take it down to 1.....now Im wondering exactly how much the tank holds...is it a true 7 gallons?

Wow, Im still a newb here but I took the low fuel warning down to 14 miles and took like 5.8, only got 195-199 to a tank (**** throttle, but I just have 1200 on the clock so far). If I go down the highway between 3-4k Ive got 229 miles out of her, but havent taken over 6 gallons yet. Im wondering if Ime either short fueling or the sensor is a bit off.
