K1600R for '14?

This is the first I've seen of this. This source speaks of spy photos of testing but I didn't see them on the site.

195 hp and a 12,000 rpm red line gives me a woody.

Holy smoke Batman! That looks like more than some fancy paint and shiny black wheels. Watching.

Huh. I may need to go on a diet to lose this gut. That looks fun.

If true, it looks Ricardo has been tasked with making a real monster out of the I-6 engine. We always knew the potential was in there

I was circling around a K1300S and now I'm thinking maybe I'll sit tight for a while.

This is strictly a ratio conversion and could be shot full of holes but it's kind of fun to see what a simple ratio formula can do to show what may be lurking in the K1600.

K1300S (1293cc) 175 hp, potential for K1600R (1649cc) 223 hp

S1000RR (999 cc) 193 hp, potential for K1600R (1649 cc) 318 hp

I think the extra weight and mass of the engine would be a hindrance.
I would rather have the S1000RR

As long as it comes with traction and wheelie control, it would be an absolute blast!

I don't know.
Even if I thought it was actually coming out this year I cant see where that bike fits in BMW's lineup. They already have the 1000rr.
Maybe I could see it if they were to make it more of a GT bike like the k1300 and use this to replace that.
Time will tell I guess.
