Dalhart Tx is closer to 4 or 5 other state capitals, than it is to Austin. For me Denver is about 80 miles further than Austin. Santa Fe and Oklahoma City are both closer. Miles and miles of miles and miles.

I just got back from a trip where I rode from Austin to Phoenix and back. More than half the trip was in Texas. Thank God for cruise control on the K1600 on the day I used the interstate.
