Glad to hear your trip went well and cooled off in the end. Heat sucks on motorcycles. In your area for a little bit yesterday. Rode the 4 up to Angels Camp and 88 back down yesterday with a couple fellows from Fallon.
I have 7k on my Pirellis and the rear looks like it will go for a few more thousand, front tire I am not to sure will make it more than a month or so.

Think I got around 6K out of my Metzlers. The front was cupping really bad by then. Don't know why BMW doesn't fit Michelin or Pirelli's originally. I don't mount my tires my self. I know a guy here in Fallon who has all the equipment to mount and balance tires I use him when able. Charges around $40 per wheel if you take the wheels to him. I always throw in a 12 pack of Miller. I used Sierra BMW last time though. Reasonable price. Around $70 for both tires mounted and balanced. I took the rims and new tires to them. Its a few more $$ if you have them remove the wheels. As always you have to make an appointment either way. Stay cool and safe on your trip.

Your Vegas/Utah trip sounds pretty good. I won't be able to make it. Going on a trip later this year. Thanks for the invite though.

I'm doing Vegas on the 3rd, then southern Utah for a week from there. Wanna go? Wife is driving ahead of me. Then back across route 6.

Not sure if I will be heading out this weekend just yet with Fathers Day going on. Wife may want to take me out to a movie and dinner.
Heading to Las Vegas next Saturday with the wife to ride across Hoover Dam and maybe onto Grand Canyon. That will probably be a warm ride. Do you have a part number or manufacturer for your shelf? I like that it shaded the GPS.

    Hey Chuck,

How goes it in Minden? Well I hope. Starting to heat up around here.
Was wondering where you bought your shelf you have your radar detector and camera mounted on?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Chuck,

Wondering how much rain you guys got last night? We got quite a bit here in Fallon. In my 12 years in Fallon, I have never seen it rain so hard and for so long. My house gutters were overflowing at the down spouts. Probably need to get up there and see if they are clogged.
    Hope all is well there.

    Chuck,

I really enjoyed the ride yesterday; thought Monitor Pass was Epic! Thanks for asking me along. No worries on the late start it worked out fine. Stay in touch.

    Mark.
