1250 RT 2019 any thoughts?

Looking to get the wife a 2019 1250 RT....she rides a Harley Limited, looking to downsize the weight. Any thoughts and price that would be fair.

Thanks

how do I move the thread. I did a DUH!

I have a 2019 1250GS and have ridden the 1250RT. I can attest that the engine in these bikes are awesome; not in the same smooth and silky way that my GT is, but in a grunts, guts bam your there sort of way.

How do you like that new shift cam thing? Any problems or misgivings?

If I was riding 1-up and not so over sized I'd own an R1250RS!

I've owned a R1200RT - the seat height feels quite tall, mainly because it's quite wide. Not so bad if you remember to slide forward before putting your feet down. I guess this is something your wife has checked before deciding.

what he said!

I had one on loan when the K1600 was in for service, very nice indeed.

I'd go for a 1250 of some kind if I wasn't already invested in the K16. Definitely recommend it, the weight is lower and the power is almost the same.

I found the RT a nice comfortable all around touring bike with unsurpassed wind management.

I had the RT12.
Best "all around" bike Ive ever owned.

The 1250 is even better.
Would be better yet if they put the fancy TFT screen on it like they did the GS.

Power is not even close to the same. Plus, it's a tractor motor.

I believe he meant power to weight ratio.
Check it out.
Don't forget, our K bikes have about 200+ pounds on the rt12s.
