Ilium Driver Sport Boards
Ilium has driver floorboards available for the 2018 GTL. I was curious if anyone has installed these boards and/or had a chance to see them in person? I'm looking to add an engine guard and highway pegs and it seems that Ilium has a good rep on this board. Thanks for your input.

I've been using their boards on my 14 GTL. Nice being able to move the feet around a bit on the boards. Hard to stand up on them though, as they are at an angle and can be a bit slippery with certain boots.
I have an extra set that I don't know how I ended up with. I don't know if they fit an 18 or not.
Best.

Thanks for the reply. I did see that the floorboards were angled down, supposedly to be more comfortable. Would you give Ilium a thumbs up on looks? I'm thinking of engine guards, highway pegs and passenger footboards. Thinking that staying consistent within the manufacturer would give the best continuity for looks. The boards for the '18 drop the footrest down slightly. Ilium suggests that a brake lever adjustment may be necessary. Thanks for any input. New to BMW, and coming from the Harley family, I need all the help I can get on accessories. I will check to see if the '14 will fit on my '18 also.

I think they look fine. Makes the bike look more like a touring than a sport bike.
Where are you located. Might be able to let you try my extra set.
Best.

I also have read that since the sportboards are lower than standard pegs, that it is very easy to drag a board. Maybe over aggressive riders, but something to think about.
