Question Dashcams - Advice needed

I'm looking for ideas on dashcams. I'd like to mount front and rear facing cameras somewhere on the bike (not on a helmet). But before I start, I thought it would be a good idea to borrow the collective wisdom of this forum. The important features I'm looking for include: auto-on/off with ignition, limited new wiring (prefer to use existing power port).

I would really appreciate any ideas to point me in the right direction. There are so many options that it's tough to know where to start.

I do not have personal experience with these, but it seems to fit the criteria you're looking for. Except you'll have to determine how to power it up. One of the members and a contributor to this site is Richard from RKA and they've posted several videos on this product. RKA is a reseller of this product and has a good knowledge of his products. Worth checking out!

Good luck.

I mounted a NextBase Ride camera on the offside (UK) fairing behind the antenna on a Ram Mount. Good quality pictures.

I also have a four channel DVR from VUE, not as good and quite expensive, one infront of the oil cooler, the other on the rear

Good luck.
This product certainly checks all of the boxes. I'll need to do a little more research to figure out if I'm able to install it myself. If anyone reads this that has installed the Innovv K2, let me know how the install went on your K1600. Thanks!

Innovv K2 works very well. The head unit is under the seat and I wrapped it in bubble wrap so it did not get scratched.

Could you provide a photo of how you mounted your NextBase as I have one and couldn't find a decent way of setting it up without drilling in to the faring - cheers Ross

Does the way you've mounted the front camera result in video that's tilted to one side, or are you able to level the camera relative to the bracket?

Where did you get the "6" badge under your plate?

This is the one I bought; it's less than half the price of the Innovv

Very timely post......

I just purchased the Innovv K2 from Amazon and was playing with it today on the workbench before installation.
Little expensive but seems like one of the best choices for a "weatherproof" motorcycle CAM solution.
Great video and very solid sturdy construction.

A lot of them have a display which I don't want to mess with.....that's what my cell phone is for.
Only thing I want visible is two tiny cameras......
