GTL seat in high position

I just moved my 2018 GTL seat to its high position. I have a large gap between the front of the seat and the gas tank, due to how high the seat now sits. Has anyone found a way to fill in this gap or do you just live with it? On occasion, I would like to ride with seat in high position (possibly my longer rides) for comfort.

No, other than having the stock seat recovered/modified.

Thanks Duane. I also just read a post that indicated the newer GTL's were not intended to be moved to the high position due to its length, and there may be a problem with the back of the seat supporting the raised height. Maybe I won't put it in the high position. All input appreciated.

Correct on not supposed to use the GTL seat in high position. Note there is a BMW part that fills the gap. #77348520028. I used the part with my Sargent GTL two piece seat. The Sargent seat is the same height as a stock GT seat in the high position. 32.5". Sure helped me.

I rode with my GTL seat set at the high setting for several years and thousands of miles with no negative issues. You may have to whack the rear of the seat with your hand to get it to latch but again no big deal. With it at the high setting you will find more leg room and you don't slide forward into the tank which for me were good things.

I now have a 2 piece GT seat on my GTL. As far as the gap goes you just have to live with it or as Duane says get it reupholstered although that would make it hard to put it on the low height.
