As you may have seen in another thread, my $900.00 Sensaphonics 2-XS IEMs (in-ear monitors) developed a short in the cable, and the only solution offered by Sensaphonics was to dig the drivers out of the monitors and start over at a cost of nearly $600.00. This lead to a search for alternatives, and
. I went with the single-driver version at $250.00 and sent them the molds from my Sensaphonics (if you don’t have molds, you can go to an audiologist or plugup can send you a DIY kit). In short, I think they’re great! In a quiet environment the Sensaphonics do sound better, but I use these things exclusively on a motorcycle and cannot tell the difference inside a helmet.
