Garmin Smartphone Link

Is Garmin Smartphone Link primarily for the NAV5 or does it work for the NAV4? Does it send data to the NAV4? Are there instructions somwhere on Garmin Smartphone Link?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the inputs, but I uninstalled the Garmin Smartphone Link since I couldn't find or see any advantage it gave me.

I was having problems with my BT setup and the local BMW dealer employee recommended I use the Garmin Smartphone Link. I just deleted all pairings from my bike, helmet, and NAV4 and started over. Took two tries but it all works again.

Had the same impression about the Smartphone link.Useless for me.

BTW: Does anybody know how to disable the parking feature? Shows up whenever I close in on a waypoint and shows where to park my motorcycle. As useful as (fill in the blanks........................)

Huh...I use the app on almost every ride...

Whether it's finding a local spot mid ride, and sending address to Nav V, to weather...and even find my bike on occasion...

I only wish there was a way while sitting at lunch to input an address and send to Nav. I use several apps and Internet to find things...and it would be nice to just copy and paste an address in, then send it to Nav.

As it is, you have to use stock four square app, and hope the thing you want to see / go to is in there...
