Calsci GT Windshield

I'm 6ft, with 32" inseam. I have the GT's seat on its high setting.

I found bad buffetting with the OEM windshield until it was about 80% raised, then the "suction" effect occurred

On my old K12RS, I had a shorty windshield - I think it was a Z-technik. Anyhow, it had a port cut into it, which seemed to give good results. Based on that, I decided I'd go with a Calsci screen

So, I ran through the yardstick measuring thing that Calsci have on their website. The measurements indicated that I needed an XL shield.
I phoned Calsci, and Steve was very helpful - he said that an XL would be too high, and an L was the way to go.

So I followed his advice. Ordered the standard width, L height screen on Friday - it arrived in TX on Monday - impressive.

Finish & quality are excellent. It fitted perfectly. Yes: the edges of the cutout aren't polished. But they are not unsightly in any way. The screen is clear with no distortion.

And it's the perfect height. Steve was right - XL would have been too high.

With the shield fully down - air onto by face - but "clean" air without much turbulence.
With it half-way raised - nice still zone behind the screen, no "suction". I can see over the top easily.

Top marks to Calsci for a good advice, good service and a great product..

It's never too late for a happy childhood - I'm on my 3rd.

Installed Calsci standard wind screen in my 2016 GT, it is a material improvement over the stock screen. I had a Calsci on my 2007 RT, also a material improvement

5'10", 32 inch inseam, low seat setting. I wear a Schuberth full face helmet, foam earplugs 100% of the time.

At the lowest setting I can hear the air flowing past my helmet, but the airflow is clean or smooth. Moving the height up slightly, I am in a pocket of calm air. I can still feel and hear crosswinds if the is any. I have no scientific way to measure decibel levels, but it is easier to hear the radio at all settings over stock, and I can hear the radio at any speed on the highway. And of course I can hear the exhaust note much clearer, in fact I enjoy that over the radio, still no Bluetooth.

Riding pleasure has improved with calmer air. On the highway the ride is more relaxing at any speed. In turns with smoother air the bike feels more stable regardless of wind direction or turbulence created by other vehicles.

I don't know how the Calsci compares to other options, but I am happy with the Calsci and I am a repeat customer.

I just received and installed a Calsci Large extra wide screen. I am just over 5'11" with a 32 inseam. Install was easy, screen looks great, entire outer perimeter is polished, the cutout is not polished, but looks fine. The screen Clarity is great. I replaced a V-stream, and am very happy.

Shipped the day I ordered it.

I have a Russell Day long, so I sit a bit higher than stock.

Hope this helps other.

I'm the same measurements and have a RDL seat. I sanded and polished the cutout. It is easy to do. I'm also very happy with this shield.

I swear by CalSci. Have used there screen on my last 3 bikes. Issue on the K16 is fitment with Aeroflow mini-wings. Used a dremel tool to cut the windscreen. After the fact, CalSci recommends cutting the mini-wings.

That's what I should have done! The windscreen turned out OK, just don't look close at the edges.
