Schuberth C3 - Can I remove the mic?

Can the microphone be clipped off? I don't use the cellular feature so the mic is just in the way. Has anyone removed it and if so, how did you do it? I've thought about just cutting it off as close to the cheek pad as possible, but hesitated for fear of disabling the audio. I can't get an answer from Schuberth so I'm here for suggestions.

Garage
Experience says mics are replaceable, and unplug from the units, a time to delve carefully under the padding

Not knowing the brand of your communications system I can't say for sure, but could you not just unplug the mic? With J&M and most other brands the mic is inter changeable.

Dan, I've installed several BMW bt units. If this is what you have then you gain access to the circuit board at the right rear of helmet, you will see a jack on the board the mic is plugged into. You have to remove the collar and inside padding to gain access.
No way I would simply "clip" the mic.
Once you do it you will be able to see if you are able to still hear but I suspect you will be able to.
