K1600B ECM Tune

I know I am new but have been reading posts for a while. I have a 2018 K1600B and am very interested in an ECM tune. There has been so much feedback on the Bren tune but I see absolutely nothing on the OE Tune. They have been around for years and claim a big increase in horsepower and torque on their website yet I see no comments from forum members. The OE tune is appealing as you can purchase the flasher and do it yourself (at a cost) rather than pulling the ECM and sending it in. I am not willing to part with $850 US dollars (that's like a million dollars for Canadians) without some feedback.
Anyone perform the OE tune and have some comments?

Came to the same conclusion you have so far. I have the Grand America and when I purchased it, the dealership was not really open about the 101 limiter. I did my own research and figured the 101 MPH limit was not a bad thing, until I started more touring. The throttle response is driving me a tad crazy and needed that boost once passing a semi. I am planning on an ECU update soon and hopefully some people will respond. Right now I am planning Bren Tune.

Bren Tune is $495USD, not 850

I don't care about HP and Torque increase, If I ever do it, it will be for the throttle lag cure

Where are you getting that you can flash it yourself? Page says "Modification Description Bench Flash", not an OBD-II port flash.

On the older models (not the B), it says: "Modification Description OBD2 Flash"

OE Tuning

It does show the MyGenius flashloader in the link for $220.00 on top of the $695.00 for just the "mail in ECU" flash. I did email OE Tune if they had any charts comparing their software to the BMW original software but have received no response. The flash loader is the part that intrigues me. I use to courier parts to locations across Ontario and every once in a while a package would be lost. With my luck, that would be my ECM going/coming from Bren.

The OE tune is intriguing. A little more money but you donít have to pay shipping and insurance on your ECM like the Bren tune. As well if your dealer ever updates your ecm its an easy fix with the OE flash loader.
