Dash displayed info

The K1600 dash allows for some customization by selecting the displayed info. You can pick average speed, fuel consumption, ambient temp, oil level, tire pressure etc. to display in lower section of the display.
But you can pick only one. Which one do you pick and why?

I pick Ambient Temperature.

Average speed, consumption, etc. are interesting when I stop but of little interest while I'm moving and, actually, can be a distraction. If anything critical happens that I need to know about, e.g. low fuel, low tyre pressure, etc., then the bike switches to that display anyway.

+1 Ambient Temperature

I’ll check tire pressure right after moving, but then to temperature.

I choose Tire Pressure so I can have a quick glance to ensure I'm not losing air.
I already know how hot it is, the oil isn't something that will instantly go bad and everything else I can scroll through if and when I want to see it.

Ambient Temp.....

Just seems the most useful to me.......lets me dial in the heated gear or know when to stop and take off a layer before it gets uncomfortable.
I also have the auto-reset trip meter displayed so I always have the daily mileage displayed, rather than the other two trip 1/2 meters which I use for mileage since last fuel stop and annual mileage.

Tire pressure to start, (I like to watch them gradually increase in psi) switch to ambient temperature, then after a warm up and if fans come on, oil pressure then back to ambient to finish.

Very interesting. On a forum I was on a few years ago someone asked why you need to see the temperature, can’t you just feel whether you are comfortable or not? Having said that, I always had mine on ambient temperature until I was coming up on curves. Then I switched to tire pressure. I take curves pretty fast and I want to know if I’m losing air but just haven’t triggered the warning yet.

Twice on my 1600s my pressure warning came up within about 1000’ of a fast 90 degree sweeper that I take at 85-90 mph plus. In those cases had the leak started 500’ closer to the curve I may have not gotten a warning before I started concentrating on the curve and not seen that I had a tire going flat very quickly. In both of those cases I had a sizable nail in the tire and they went down very quickly.
