It took me a while to cross that bridge but I like the ones I got.

So, I'd say, if your finances allow it, why not.

The bike still sounds great with the factory cans too.

Remus is having a Memorial day sale this weekend so If you go that route don't wait around. I don't like the constant drone of loud pipes on long trips so I kept both my GT's stock. If you do a search some here have poked out the other holes for a better sound. While it doesn't reduce the weight it sounds great and it's free. I don't know if the extra 20 pounds of weight matters on a bike over 750lb anyway.

I have the full Remus system on my ‘18 and I love it. Not loud at all, very pleasant sound. Performance? Who cares?

I just bought the GPR Furure in black. Half the cost of Remus, literally. The new connecting pipes and the stock heat shields are getting black ceramic coated at the moment.

They call these "slip-ons" which is an odd term. In car terms these would be labeled a "cat back" exhaust. And this is fine by me. I personally don't feel the need to replace the headers, and quite frankly, I probably don't want to go to that trouble since I'm going for weight and aesthetics.

I like loud motorcycles.

I want better looking, performing, and cooler exhaust; than factory issued.

However, ass ludicrous and cartoonish as the cans may be; I find myself enjoying the mid range drone, and the throaty defiance of releasing the throttle when it doesn't want to be released and suddenly surprising him with a downshift: Insert Formula One Race Sound Here.

So, for a bike that I secretly enjoy the look and sound of the exhaust (I was also a fan of Buck Rogers): I will find many other aftermarket items to throw my $1000 - $3000 at. Or spend more on upgrading my gear.

When the exhaust is a reasonable price I will replace it. Until then I will nod along if someone points and laughs at the exhaust and agree with them: "I know crazy right"

I will also know something they don't know: It's not about how these bikes sound - I'TS ALL ABOUT HOW THEY PERFORM AND HOW LONG YOU CAN LAST AND HOW FAR YOU CAN GO. And how you can't wait to wake up the next day and do it again.

I'll never spend money on aftermarket exhaust again for a couple reasons.

This bike don't need it for performance reasons

I don't like loud exhaust.

I wouldn't be able to hear it anyways after putting in my Sensaphonics IEM's

After years of modifying several HDs over time, I'm perfectly happy with the stock exhaust and performance. I enjoy the bike as is, without the "burdens" (my term LOL) of "what am I going to change/modify next?"

Well, except for the:
Windhsield .....
Bar risers....
adding a GPS.....
and maybe a peg lowering kit.....

To each his/her own imo. Personally I would need to see some performance improvements before I spent that much money. Sound alone is just not worth the price tag imo.
