Oil Meter on the Dash question.

I just did my first oil change and inspection.

(So many loose screws on this bike)

Anyway, my question is the oil meter on the dash is always at 75% filled with a OK next to it.
I check my dip stick and its on the full mark so I figured the dash will show a 100% full but it only shows 75% full.

Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

The "oil meter" never changes, it's a symbol.

The oil indicator only shows "ok" or "--"

It will also warn you when your 1 quart or more low by saying "LOW" . As far as I can tell it's pretty accurate.

Actually, when the CHECK! oil warning comes on it's 1/2 liter low. If a person does have the CHECK! pop up there's no need to get anxious, like I did the first time and start quickly looking for a place to pull over. The dry sump system has the proper amount of oil circulating through the engine. The "reserve" oil level is what's going to be low and 1/2 liter low will allow plenty of time to find a safe and convenient place to take care of the situation.

The meter on the right is what I was trying to say. See how its showing at 50-75%. If it doesn't go up or down then whats the point? They should just have put the genie bottle symbol and call it a day.

Here i was thinking it was one of them reach your goal meters lol.

The oil level indicator is a complete waste of space on the display. Completely useless.
