Great food in an actual old mill over the Schroon river: the Grist Mill in Warrensburg, approx 6 miles from Lake George Village, due east of Diamond Point. Not the cheapest, but well with the cost.

First there are lots of good places to eat in the LG area. Len found one of the best places with a great vibe. I've eaten there a few times, I second that recommendation. Food is great the ambiance and food are worth the price.
For desert you can go for ice cream Martha's Dandee Creme (Martha's Ice Cream Lake George NY Home Page) at 1133 U.S. 9, Queensbury, NY 12804 Not as elegant as the Grist Mill, but you wonder how this place makes such an amazing ice cream! If you're in the area for breakfast I recommend Sally's Hen House at 3978 US-4, Hudson Falls, NY 12839 Sally's breakfast is worth the trip all by itself (IMHO). Sally's is a little east (less then a mile) of McDermott's H-D (https://www.mcdermottshd.com/) in case you need something.

Oh for a really nice ride circle around Lake George. It's one of the nicest rides there is in NY.

Have fun, that area of New York State has some great back roads, just be weary of your speed, the NYS Police (Troopers?) have been known to be have little sense of humor about speeding.
