You're probably right Tom this was back in the Fall of 2012 and heck I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning. I do know that it was a 180.

I commend you all for sharing your stories.
It has gotten a little boring for me on the forum lately and this thread livened things up a bit, at least for me.
Really miss all the engine and other failures that made for good reading.
I can assure you that I am not without similar faults such as some of you have described. Yea, I can be pretty stupid at times, too. But, I'm not stupid enough to admit my mistakes.... and try not to share them for fear my wife may find out. lol

I loved my K1200LT but that forum was quite different with all of the bike failures. BMW engineers knew what they were doing with the K1600 ...
