Tomorrow I shall be up early to start my June ride. I plan to attend my first BMW MOA Rally in Lebanon, Tennessee this coming weekend. I'll ride north east from Houston through Alexandria in Louisiana, to stay in Jackson, Mississippi for the first night. Continuing west to Birmingham and then north to the Jack Daniels distillery for a short visit before riding on to Lebanon.
After the MOA rally, I'll ride northwest across the heartland of the USA for the ST-Owners NatSTOC event in Spearfish, South Dakota.
I shall then return to Ouray, Colorado, to manage the ST-Owners RockSTOC event. I'll return home by first going south past the Four Corners and then down into Arizona to enjoy the Coronado Trail again before staying overnight in El Paso, Texas. My last day will be a long one from El Paso to Houston, Texas. Should have added 5,000 miles to KBiK when I return on July 1st. I'll be camping most nights with an occasional motel stay to clean up.
If you find yerself anywhere near Greenville, SC next Monday morning, the 2019 Iron Butt Rally is schedued to depart at 1000 from the Greenville Marriot. Watching 100+ LDR equipped bikes pulling out in less than 5 minutes is a sight to behold.

Hope you plan on staying in one of our beautiful suburbs. Staying in Jackson proper? Bring your heat and sleep with one eye open ...

I enjoyed my first BMW MOA Rally in Lebanon, TN! The weather was great, sunny but surprisingly cool. It was good to see some old friends again while also meeting some new people.
Left early on Sunday to avoid the heat and rain that was in the forecast. Crossing the Mississippi was a challenge because of the flooding. The bridges at Cap Giradeau and Chester were closed, and the Medoc Ferry was not running so I had to ride all the way up to St. Louis to cross the river. Decided to stop early and found a motel in Cuba, Missouri. Tomorrow I go on another 500 miles to Grand Island, Nebraska, and then to Spearfish, South Dakota on Tuesday.
Arrived safely in Spearfish, South Dakota after a 530 mile ride from Grand Island, Nebraska. Steady, heavy rain for the first four hours and then it cleared up in western Nebraska and as I came into South Dakota. Hit a thunderstorm in the Black Hills so KBiK got wet again but I stayed dry as always in my 'stich!
Visited the Wounded Knee Massacre site. Very sad.
Had a surprise in the Sandhills of Nebraska when KBiK and I had to go swimming across a drowned section of road.
