Andy, if I could make out your route correctly it looks like your eastern Arkansas route takes you southeast along Hwy 65 before crossing into Mississippi. If so, stop at Hoot’s BBQ in McGehee, AR. On a road trip it’s worth a stop for lunch or dinner.

Thanks Ron! Hoot's was right on my route but unfortunately it is closed on Sunday so I rode on through to Indianola.

Left last Thursday to ride up to Clayton in eastern Oklahoma for the ST-Owner's OkieSTOC event at Clayton Lake State Park. Hot and sweaty 350 mile ride up from Houston, and it stayed hot and sweaty for the weekend camping at the lake.

Rode out to Hoochietown for lunch on Friday.

On Saturday we rode the Talimena Skyline for lunch in Mena, Arkansas

A fun weekend! It was good to see old friends and share some good rides.

On Sunday, I rode on to Indianola, MS. Today I am waiting on the rain to blow through before continuing on to Birmingham where I plan to visit the Barber Motorsport Museum.

Today I visited the Barber Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama.

What a great museum! It has an interesting, open design and a wonderful display of both interesting and ordinary motorcycles, a another great display of mainly Lotus race cars.

Too many great motorcycle porn pictures to post here so you'll have to go to my website to see them, or visit the Barber Motorsports Museum yourself!

Tomorrow I'll ride north east past Chatanooga and go over the Cherohala Skyline to Balsam, North Carolina for the ST-Owners Blue Ridge Gathering.

So another ST-Owners' Blue Ridge Gathering is in the bag. Great event in great riding country at the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stayed in a cabin rather than camping which suits these old bones.

Rode down the Moonshiner 28 into South Carolina and then back up 107 to enjoy lunch at the Haywood Smokehouse in Dillsboro.

On Saturday we rode up 276 to the BRP, down 215 to Rosman and then up 281 to 107 south to North Norton and Walnut Creek into Franklin. Finished up the day on Wayah Rd to 23 and then back to Moonshine Creek. Some of the best roads in North Carolina!

Had to keep ahead of this rocket!

Great weekend seeing old friends, meeting new ones and riding great roads.

After the St-Owners' BRG, on Sunday I headed north up the Blue Ridge Parkway. As soon as I was over 4,000 ft I went into a very wet and cold cloud with dense fog patches that sometimes reduced visibility to 10 yards.

I intended to stay the night camping at Willville Motorcycle Camp but it was still raining and only 51 degF so I went into Hillsville and found a bed at the Super 8.

Monday was 36 degF leaving so I had my heated gear on. It turned into a wonderful day. Still cold but sunny and clear with the clouds well below me on the Parkway.

Continued along the Shenandoah Skyline which was busier with traffic but nothing held me up for long.

Staying in Berkely Springs, WV. Tomorrow I head east across into Delaware and then to the Atlantic Coast of Virginia.
