Tires

Who makes a heavy side wall tire for the K1600 bike besides Michelin?

Several, including Avon, Pirelli, Metzler, Bridgestone, and probably more.

I'm ridin' a 2014 K1600 GTL and I am loving every minute of it!

+1. We're on our 2nd set now (1st went over a solid 7,000 miles), for us its been an exceptional two up tire in all conditions (extended heavy rain, triple digits, highway fully loaded stability, spirited Colorado mountain road carver, etc.) its our go to tire over the 4GT's, Angel "A" and Z8 we've been through.

If you're in the market, give them a try and look for rebates, recent was $100 on the dunlop.

No rebates at this time. I just paid $320 for a set from Riders Domain. No tax and free shipping.

I will be purchasing tires soon and have always been a Bridgestone fan. I`ve been looking at the Battlax T31 sport touring tires...can anyone give comment/feedback?
Can get a set (GT version) from MotoSport.com for $258 shipped...is that a decent price?
Thanks
Chris

Been running the T30 Evo the older version of the 31, best tires I've used on the GT yet. I'm getting 12k plus from the front and a solid 9k on the rear with zero cupping. Every other tire I've used has cupped at half the tire life.

For my riding style which is mostly higher speed long distance highway, lots of wet and when curves are available I will scrape pegs they hold just fine and have never let go or surprised me.

For the price and the mileage I get, best darn tire for me. In fact on have a brand new set of PR4s in my basement that I'll gladly swap for a set of T30/T31.

Rocky Mountain ATV seems to always have the best prices in my shopping.

The T31 is the newest tire from Bridgestone just released a few months ago so l doubt if anyone is running them yet. My brother is running the T30evo on his FJR and liked them in the beginning but he says at the 1/2 mark they slip a bit. He is going to try the Dunlop next. $258. is a decent price and I'm thinking worth it to try a set. Let us know what you think if you do get them.
