Michelin Road 5?

Does anyone have any experience with the new Michelin Road 5 tires? Pros, cons etc...

The tire for the K1600, Michelin Road 5 "GT", hasn't been released.

The 5 GT is planned for early next year.

@buzz742 , try doing a search for Michelin PR4 GT, you'll find more than you ever wanted to know has already been written/experienced...

Spoke to the Michelin customer rep today. The Road 5s are currently available for K1600.
120/70 zr17 with designation number -58w
190/55 zr17w with designation number -75w
Front tire part# 98658
Rear tire part# 03178

I took a look at the Michelin site and saw this. I believe it's what Duane is referring to:

MICHELIN Road 5 Standard versus the GT version
The above sizes of MICHELIN Road 5 tires are designed for naked bikes and roadsters such as the Triumph Street Triple and the Suzuki SV650.
Heavier grand touring bikes such as the BMW R 1200 RT or the Kawasaki 1400 GTR require the GT version of MICHELIN Road 5, which will become available in 2019. Until then please choose MICHELIN Pilot Road 4 GT tires.
