The Pirelli came in first at 222 points and the Bridgestone and Metzelers came in at 215 points. The Continental, Dunlop and Michelin came in at 212 points. Test done last May 2013.
If they rate Bridgestone and Metzeler the same than theres something wrong with there testing. Especially if they rate Dunlop and Michelin last.
Perhaps in the translation you missed that the lower the points the better the tire?

The Pirellis have been getting very good reviews so maybe not, but I still find that order curious. The Michelin and Dunlop seem to be the standard bearers in this dept and both seem to have strong followings. I've almost never read anything positive about the Bridgestones and the Metzelers seem to come down to personal taste. Odd indeed.....

The write up on the article doesn't translate very well. But numbers are the same in any language, they don't need translation. From what I can tell, higher numbers are better than low numbers. Here is the link: Motorradreifen, Enduroreifen, Sportreifen, Tourenreifen, Slicks - MOTORRAD.

93.000 kilometers, 1 metzler set (10.000 kms), then 4 times the pilots, 3 sets got me about 75.000 km, the current set is now at about 10.000 km and has a lot of mileage left. Doing a lot of highway, and driving the curvy roads for fun a few times a year, the pilots are the ideal tyres for me. Saying goodbye now to my current KT1600, just bought a new one, and of course it's got the metzlers. Curious how long they will last this time.

I don't really care much about ratings and certifications. The pilots are somewhat more expensive but last a lot longer. And the bike handles perfectly in humble opinion.
