    Hi JMac,

I truly apologize in advanced for low balling you. But I figure I would give a forum member the first opportunity to sell before going to eBay.

I don't ride my K1600GTL very often so not looking to put much money in her. But a recent tip over resulting in a $1300 radiator replacement has me shopping. The back of the flood light put a nice big hole in the radiator.

Ill paypal F/F you $150 if you ship them to me in Indianapolis. Im basing that on the new set I can get on eBay for $129 + $15 shipping. I realize these are aftermarket and might not have the fancy coating, but don't really care. Just looking for the lowest cost option right now.

I would probably go with the Ilium if I had the money, and Im guessing that you upgraded. They give much better protection than the OEM.

    Thanks,
    Barry

Yeah, weather was good up to a point...not so much now...I'm happy to have gotten the bike out for 50 miles or so on Thursday...

Tell me, what kind of helmet do you use? Also headset in the helmet? Having a hard time getting it to sound half way decent when coupled to Sat radio or a phone call...

    Hi

Are you still making the pannier crash bars for the 1600GTL? MIne is a late 2013 model.

If so, how much and what do you think shipping to the UK would be.?

    Thanks

    David

I like to buy new too. You either have Frank's BMW which is like my local dealer. A bit more "old school", less likely to negotiate on price and can be less customer friendly in service. However, if they are noticeably closer than Max BMW locations they do generally try to make things right for their customers and their pricing is not out of line. I am close enough to Max that I could make the trip there for purchasing and service but it is so much easier to drive 45 minutes to my local dealer so I pay a bit more and support the local folks. I'd guess you can get lower prices from Max and if they are closer to you than Frank's than I think Max is an easy choice. If Max is noticeably further than Frank's it makes the choice more difficult.

Track me down if you have questions you don't feel like posting to the general public.
