Just a quick introduction. Haven't picked up the 1600B yet. Joined the forum to see see what's going on with the 1600 platform and to learn more about the bike overall. Currently in my garage is a 15' Harley CVO Limited. Sold the 12' BMW R1200RT. Miss having a BMW. Looking forward to the 1600B. Was really torn between the Grand America or the standard B.
Welcome! Look around and make yourself at home. A few HD stereotypes may get poked fun at every now and then here, but it's all in fun. Some very good hearted folks on here. Hope you post a pic when you pick up your B.
Jason, I was pretty much a die hard Harley owner, 12 of them over 28 years.
Really like the regular B style ( to each their own ). If you need more space for stuff you can add a rack on the back. Simple. I prefer the look and feel of a bike without a tourpak or top case.
You will find the K1600 to be a blast to ride. Installed a Russell Day Long seat for comfort. It's nice having a bike that performs, handles and rides great right off the showroom floor.
Had a CVO ultra myself. Loved the paint, chrome and sound of the bike. Personally I was disappointed with the engine and suspension, considering what the bike cost. The B you are buying comes with far more features than a CVO and does so for much less.
Your favorite part of the B will be the engine. Nothing like a straight 6cyl with 160hp.
Welcome! Send some of your warm-weather over here to Minnesota......
