Harley FLTRU to K1600B GA Convert

Hello from South Jersey!
Last week I traded in my 2012 Harley Road Glide Ultra for a 2018 K1600B Grand America. I've been riding Harleys for the last 12 years and was looking to buy a 2019 FLTRU. They didn't have the color scheme I wanted so I was going to wait until the 2020s came out. Well, I started looking at the many bagger reviews online and BMW stood out from the pack. I scheduled a Grand America test ride and was really taken back by the performance, handling and comfort of the Beamer. I'm attempting to put highway peg mounts under the floorboards above the fog lights. Also installing Ilium handlebar risers.

You guys have a nice forum here - thanks for the invite to join!

Well done on the trade and switch over.

I have ridden Harleys for 30 years and 6 months ago picked up a brand new still in the box 2018 B.

Needless to say: My Road King is very jealous amongst the dust and cobwebs in the garage and I catch him giving me and dirty looks all the time.

Borrowed my buddies Road King yesterday while visiting him in NC road 50 miles while he was riding his Aprilia Tuono.

Took a while to get used to that rearward shift up floorboards and Beach cruiser handlebars. The Harley I think has superior turn signals especially there self cancel.

Not a fan of the vibrating engine especially as you come to a stop.

I have no issues owning or buying another Harley all these motorcycles are just cool especially on the country roads.

I still have a 2000 Fatboy with way too much bling money in it. I guess it'll get cobwebs as well! And I don't need to polish all that chrome with the GA......

I have a 2000 Wide Glide And a couple years ago I picked up a R1200 RT after selling my K1200 LT.... my Harley is a spurned woman! Now that I have an ‘18 GA, I may be selling the other two. For me, it’s the best bike I can imagine. I get comments daily on it. I’m absolutely sold on it as my daily driver. It’s polarizing though!
