Hi folks, new to the forum and really happy to be a member. A few weeks ago I got a deal of a lifetime on a leftover 2016 K1600 GT. The seller only put 173 miles on the bike and decided he didn't have enough time to ride. He sold the bike to me for $16,000 and I couldn't be happier since I was planning to buy a 2019 for nearly twice as much! My previous bike is a 2009 Yamaha FJR 1300 and it has been a terrific bike from day one. Nevertheless, I've wanted a Beemer for more years than I can remember and here I am. Looking to learn a lot a lot from you all and hopefully I will be able to make a few positive contributions as well. Best to all and rubber side down.
Greetings. I too am a pretty new member to the forum, so new, they won’t let me post!
Enjoy the new ride. I also have a new to me GT1600. Love everything about it except the weight in parking lots. I learned the hard way it’s hard to pick up!
So where are you enjoying your new bike?
Hello Bust-A-Cap from Big D. Sounds like you got a great deal on your GT. Welcome to the forum.
Pgriesshaber, hang in there. Each of the first three posts have to be approved before being able to advance to the next one. After this, you should be good to go. BTW, it will take a lot longer if you wait several months to post anything. :surprise:
Thank you for that. Kind of discouraging to try and post and get denied. Oh well. Rules are rules.
But welcome to all the new members. Someday we can actually post to each other!
When you say you're getting denied, do you actually mean your subsequent posts aren't being published when you make an attempt? If so, I imagine it takes just long enough for either the administrator or moderator (whichever one has this ability) to see it and approve it. I'm guessing there are probably times when neither happen to be online when you try to post.
Lake George ISSSSS the place for this beauty. Super routes on a cool day, can not beat that. Enjoy and it pays to really double check her via the dealer. Just a pc of mind. Avoid Manhattan's BMW. Too expensive. Go to the second location for Cross Country in NJ. Happy riding.
Good deal Bust-A-Cap! From your name I would assume (I know don't assume) that your a shooter. I have been shooting for years and was recently the lead instructor for a five star range. I had three indoor ranges at my disposal (25 yards, 50 yards, 100 yards). I commuted on my GTL. Nothing like riding down the freeway with a couple AR platforms on the bike. LOL
FKM148....LOL, it's my paintball name that just stuck! I live in a state that's not really firearm friendly and every time I get ready to submit my application I get sick of the whole process and forget about it. However, when I go out of state to a range I have a lot of fun target shooting.
