Yabbadabbado hello from the PNWet

Just added a low mileage K1600 GT to the garage, mostly ride my R1200 GSW and occasionally my Classic plated K75s (he who runs like a scalded dog) Looking forward to riding a “big” K bike again ! (the ‘98 K1200RS self destructed) that’s my current motorcycle story and I’m sticking to it!

Welcome from the West Sound.

Does your user name indicate that you are also into sailboats? A Morgan 33 by chance, or even a Mason 33?

I also had a K75s until about a year ago, loved it, so smooth and really like the lines of the ol' girl. Ran out of room for all the bikes, as you'll see from the pic it lived in a spare room. Doubled the young fella down to the Philip Island MotoGP on it a while back.

Thanks for your interest - yes a sailboat ⛵️ it’s a Bob Perry Design MIRAGE 33 one of his early forays into a “lightweight” coastal cruiser not many on the west coast - built in LaClaire Quebec Canada 🇨🇦 eh! Unlike what he’s world famous for “more of his designs have circumnavigated the globe” in heavier double ended designs (Valiant 40, Tayana’s 37’s, Baba 35’s/40’s etc) The MIRAGE line are not doubleenders a more modern design w a nice sheer, beemy with relatively fat ass a sweet sailing boat perfect IMO for the PNWet - Puget Sound, SanJuans, Gulf Island’s - for Alaska I’ll take the GSW.

Sweet. I had a Canadian Sailcraft CS30 (made in Brampton Ontario) for about 20 years, the first 18 or so on a lake in central Texas (Lake Travis, near Austin) and had it trucked out to Seattle when we moved here 5 years ago. I had planned on using it to cruise the San Juans, maybe Desolation Sound, etc., but a heart issue came along and changed my plans. Daysailed it for a couple years here on the sound before letting it go to the next Boat Maintenance Worker.
