Hello!

I've been lurking here for a while, but I thought I'd introduce myself so I can start to contribute.

2016 K1600GT. Bay Area (California). Second bike and second BMW - I had a F800GS as my first bike. The K16 is a little smoother on the freeway

Thanks! Formerly from Western Canada, I've got to admit the non-stop riding here in California is amazing. And the K16 more so! Perfect for year-round riding and exploring.

I ponied up for the big K to try to explore more of the state and take advantage of the complete lack of local dirt options. Unfortunately I've learned that California is huge, and that the rest of the west (Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, etc) is equally amazing -- it feels like for every mile I ride, I discover 2 more miles I have to check out!

Glad this forum exist to support me while I do it.
