there’s no issue with ‘13 pistons.
There's a post on the MOA forum of somebody with a 2013 that had a cracked piston. It was a November 2012 purchase but evidently a model year 2013.
I was looking at a low mile 2013 GT with an August 2012 build date and from what I've read here supposedly the issue was fixed mid-year 2012 but since nobody seems to know exactly what the issue was or exactly how/when it was resolved it's close enough to make me nervous so I figured to be on the safe side I'd get a model year 2014 or later.
Loud pipes save egos.
Plan to buy a K1600GT as soon as I find the right one.
