Need bmw mechanic

I own a 2012 BMW K 1600 GT
I am looking to add driving lights
Turn my front turn signals into run lights
And install additional red LED lights on the rear of my saddlebags that will act as run lights AND brake lights.
Also looking to install factory OEM tail trunk light that Inalso want to run as run light AND brake light.
I need someone within an hour of Webster NY that is Capable of working with the computer in my bike to make sure everything is recognized and running properly after accessories are added.

If you call yourself a shade tree mechanic then you don't need a BMW mechanic. Do your homework, e.g search the forum. Several ways to do what you're after. Probably easiest is using the HexCan to power the accessories you're looking to add. Another good source is Skene, they have the controllers you'll need and various wiring diagrams readily available of their website.

The most straightforward way to solve this would be through Denali as they sell a branded hexcan and they have a plug and play solution for basically everything you want to do except the top box light. The better solution would be clearwater lightss, same thing, basically plug and play but more high end. There are lots of people on the forums who have done both. Very straightforward installations.

It's not that difficult...just takes a little more time when you're diving in to these things. The satisfaction one can get from accomplishing small=> larger tasks on our machines is a good part of what it's all about. Duane's advice is right on and we're here to help if you want to dip a toe in. Without stress there is no learning.

These really are straightforward installations.

The Hexezcan basically isolates the bikes electronics from the accessories, this means no risk in affecting the bikes operation. Its basically tab-A and Slot A the whole way other than actually mounting the accessories themselves. The only real requirement is picking the mounting points, brackets, and running/securing the wiring. Assuming you are not riding year around where you live this is a perfect winter project.

Shouldn't be a problem, requirements include a bag of money and a bunch of down time.

I was petrified to tap into a wire on my $26K bike and with a little Forum Coaching and research was able to do all the things you want to do and more.
Tons of info on this forum.
