Awesome! Nice change from IN perhaps. We're looking at moving out that way...but hopefully higher country since I like cooler... I'd prefer 20 below zero over 110 above so cooler is better for me! But, that may be changing as I grow old and weary...had to bump the thermostat to 71 to be comfortable this Winter...68 used to be fine! Hope you enjoy the change of venue immensely!!!

Hope you survive the heat. N. Phoenix - like Scottsdale?

Had 2014 gtl premium spring 17 - winter 2019 (rode 25k miles). Bought used Wing to try out (10k miles), Nah-too boring and slow. Like GTL better, bought another GTL. Ha.

Congrats on the relocation. Stay North like Cave Creek and North Scottsdale and you'll be quite a bit cooler than Phoenix. Still warm but much better.

You will love it. Riding here is awesome with plenty of well paved twisty mountain roads. Route 191 formerly 666 (Devils Highway) is one of the best roads I have ever ridden, makes the tail of the dragon look a 11 mile driveway. 191 is a 90 mile stretch of desolate mountain road along the New Mexico border that goes from 5,000' in Morencie, AZ to Alpine, AZ 8,000' with no traffic, police or guardrails... Summer in the valley can be like living on the sun sometimes but there are plenty of nice days with relief coming from the monsoon rains. In summer months we head out before sunrise and head for altitude of over 6,000' to ride which is easy to find. You can be in Flagstaff 7,000' in 2 hours from North Phoenix. The 8 months of non-summer are amazing. There is a reason snowbirds (mostly Mid westerners and Canadians) flock here... Also we have AZ bike week, Barrett Jackson, baseball spring training, hiking, boating, fishing, hunting. Tell all of your friends its too hot here - its our secret how nice it is ;-).

Ottosails is right. The roads are outstanding for motorcycles. My brother and I are heading to Flagstaff next month (all backroads) then down through Showlow and through the copper mine before heading out to Texas.

He is also right about the heat. It's dam hot in the summer. It's a dry heat but I cook a turkey in dry heat. Don't get me wrong as I like the dry heat a lot better than the muggy heat of Florada. (I went to high school in Tucson) but people are shocked by how hot it can get.

LOL - Iíve only been here six years now but have adjusted to it. When it gets below 70 Iím putting a light jacket and jeans on... The snowbirds are still in shorts, flips and T-shirtís below 70. Brrrr

Don't forget the ride up to Prescott the "back way" on 89. The Yarnell hill and White Spar sections are great. Have lunch and check out the old west flavor of Prescott and continue up to Jerome, Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon on 89A ending in Flagstaff. A quick blip down I-17 and your back home in Phoenix by the end of the day or spend the night along the way and make a weekend out of it.
