Thumbs up

Okay, so it looks like we have a meet for next year, I've just booked the above also, so please feel free to copy and paste the attendee list so it stays current on the last post if your adding or amending the list. As we get closer we can arrange to meet up on any of the days which people want to and perhaps do a ride round the area on either the Saturday when people get there or the Sunday before they leave? You can always do your own thing as well, but at least this way we can get together for either drinks or dinner and put a few faces to names etc.

Attending and booked for staying at the Palace Hotel on Saturday 6th of July 2019:

1. AndyspK16
2. Mrs AndyspK16
3. Jesim1
4. Mrs Jesim1

Attending for the day only - Saturday:

1.
2.

Attending for day only - Sunday:

I should be up for that, I'll confirm tomorrow.

I know the area well, so I can do route's, any suggestions on mileage, which days, duration of stages, types of road Etc. are most welcome... or you can take pot luck.
I can post the trip on 'My Route', but beware - it doesn't always transfer to your Sat Nav the same on each device!

I suspect most are familiar with the drop off system, if not, instruction can be given on the day.

It's not going to be that kind of scale, if we get a dozen bikes there we will be doing well, I'm not sure how many from the UK are "active" on the forum (not just members), but I would not think it's much more than 20 to 25? But it will be easier to go for a ride out and keep it more personal.

Sounds good, we are all UK riders so used to a broad range of roads, and if there are a few going it's best to keep it to a reasonable but respectable pace, we don't want people put off by speed or binning their pride and joy keeping up, we can ride faster on the way there or the way home if we like that, but if your into speed and handling you would buy a sports bike

I'd say do two trips of around 80/100 miles (couple of hours?), one Saturday early PM and the other Sunday mid morning/lunch time - people can peel off as they hit a road which is heading home for them if we do a circular route on the Sunday? I'm sure the weather will play a part in this

A ride up these reservoir roads (from Castleton and Hope) is also a scenic delight, with a cafe treat at the end:
