General Information

Name
Original love
Year
1976
Make
Kawasaki
Model
KZ900A
Color
Original candy tone brown/orange color scheme
History
3rd owner
Built in Japan (many came out of Nebraska) this unmolested 76 has only 3600 original miles. Great condition and runs like you would remember. I acquired as an homage to my early days of motorcycling when I could only yearn for one! Original owner had it ~30 years and his widow sold after his death.

My GTL gets me all over via the highway and byways and this bike is for around town and stays close to home.

Love your Kawasaki I owned about 4 of them and then later the series of GPZ throughout the range of them lol. I loved the Z1900s so much and had exactly the same could as yours. Thank's for bringing so many fond memories back. The one thing I remember so well was around the 100 miles an hour they got a wobble in the front, more like a power band and you had to ride through that to smooth the steering. I hope you don't mind me sharing some of them with you as I would consider one of the best brand bikes of their time. My Green Z900 was used in a movie made here in,
Australia. It was called Stone and feathered so many Kawasakis and great riding in the movie.

Great photos Geoff_3 and appreciate the recount of your memories. I won't be riding this one at 100+mph so will not be able to confirm or deny the wobble factor;') I am in Vancouver, Canada and will try and fine a link to Stone. BTW--the green color was my favorite back then//Craig

Thanks, Craig, I hope you did not mind and by no means wanted to take over your post. I just thought you would love some of my Kawasaki bikes as I loved each one of them and know how rare they are these days.

I like the 76 a lot..great bike..... However..... I LOVE the 78.... Wish I still had mine.... Letting it go was one of those things you look back on, and then find the person closes to you and ask them to slap the crap out of you.....

Stephen---I have heard the lamenting before re: earlier loves. What was it about the 78 that you most miss---other than you owned it!
