‘22/‘23 TFT and Zumo XT Mount

Yes, this thread is a repeat of a previous thread I started. The purpose of which is to aid and/or help those interested in using a Zumo XT with the newer K bikes TFT; NOT to debate the merits of the TFT and the BMW Connected App!

Lets try this again:

I exchanged a couple of emails with the company in Italy, Adapter 3D Motorrad Shop ⎜Vendita Accessori per Moto - Made in Italy, they make the Zumo XT mount for the '11-'21 K1600. The email I got from them today said a mount for the '22/'23 K bike, which will go above the TFT, should be ready in a few weeks

Let me see if I read this correctly: the company comes out with a new mount for the '22/'23 bikes and this forces Duane to buy a new bike?
Company hasn’t produced an adapter; they’re supposedly working on one. 😜😜😜

Update: Zumo mount for the TFT K1600 NOT coming soon. The Italian company 3d will not be releasing Zumo mount for the TFT K1600 any time soon. [They] told me a client was suppose to be dropping off a new K1600 for them to use to design a Zumo Mount. That client did not receive his bike and they don't know when a K1600 will be available...

That looks to be a great photo of a GS. I don’t see a K bike anywhere.
That's because their aren't any...

There is in that video.
Yes, I know there's a video. But there's a difference between a video and photos... just sayin'.

@Robert_W , No, I never said there wasn't a bracket for XT/K1600 TFT. I was saying there are no photos unless you want to call the one Wunderlich video a photo...

I've spoken with Wunderlich USA in NC. They have no knowledge of anything Zumo XT/K1600 TFT related products.

On here, the forum, i remember seeing a member mounted a Zumo XT above the TFT using a ball mount. i don't have my '23 yet, but i have the parts I will need if I decide to go that route.

@graue_Eminenz , You shouldn't need to remove the phone door... Just take the windscreen off to get good access to the door.

Just wondering if you'd had an opportunity to test (using a Zumo or Nav) what sort of GPS signal degradation your bike's TFT is causing? And if so, what were your findings?
Phil, I have the Zumo XT mounted above the TFT. And I have the same degradation on signal strength that you show. I did a 120 mile route the other day and the XT performed flawlessly; never lost a signal, all turns on time..

I just returned from the Tame the Dragon event in NC where I used the Zumo XT for 5 day rides. I never had a delay or directions/turns/etc. Never lost the signal for navigation while in the mountains. But, I did notice something I've never experienced before; e.g. when running hard on curvy mountain roads the Zumo XT speed display would fluctuate and be are off by 10-15 mph. This happened daily. The correct speed would be displayed usually with a delay of a few seconds. I'm "guessing" this anomaly is being caused by reduction in satellite reception caused by the interference of the TFT...
