Hello Everyone,

Looking for some feedback. I have an opportunity to buy a 2013 GTL with about 23k miles on the clock. Sounds like I can make the purchase happen for $9,500. This is a one owner bike that has been well maintained with good service records.
  1. Sound like a fair deal?
  2. Is there anything in particular I should be concerned about, or that I should look out for on the 2013?
All insight appreciated!

Welcome to the forum.
You should be good to go.
Have a dealer run the VIN to see if there are any open recalls. I believe the R/H switch assy is one that comes to mind.
But sounds like you have the service records so all should be in order.
Enjoy the motorcycle and ride the piss out of it.

As stated by @BMWGuy , make sure the both handlebar switches were changed and possibly the water pump. Assuming tires 'look' good, how old are they; e.g. >5 years they would need to be replaced. I would also require a PPI (Pre-purchase Inspection) to be conducted by a BMW mechanic. When was the last service done; e.g. brake fluid, final drive, brake pads, oil change, tires, etc? If the dealer is doing this work it can easily cost you another $500-$1000... Otherwise, price seems to be a fair price.

In June 2020 I paid $9,750 for my 2013 GTL with 15K miles on the clock.

Also one owner with all service and recall history which included both handlebar switch clusters.
I listed myself as the new owner with the local HD/BMW dealership and about a year ago received the fuel pump recall notice and it was completed by local dealership.

Brake fluid replacement was the only service item that I found was long overdue and took care of that myself, and the other service item needing attention was to clean out the crankcase breather system when replacing the air filter.

Yours sounds like a good deal.

The only other item that I would suggest to check is a fuel pump recall. My 2013GTL with 26000 miles had a fuel pump recall just after I sold it. I believe the letter was sent around April of 2021.

Sounds like a great way to get on a K1600. Good luck making the deal happen. Welcome to the forum and hope to see you on the road.

I’m taking my 2012 to Alaska in June. I’ve had no major issues with mine. I just wish doing the maintenance was a bit less complicated. Fortunately lots of great experience from folks here if you ever need some guidance.
