I'll admit I could never do this, as I fell in lust with, and thus bought, the exact bike the OP's talking about, to the point I bought one for only $1k off MSRP. So I've fixed mine up perfectly again after 2 very small bag boo-boos, but my wife agrees with you. She has a couple scratches on her 2019 R1250RT, and in white, they'd be both easy and cheap to repair, but when I mention it to her, I get this: "It's a TOURING bike." Her point is that if you bought it to ride, and it's a big bike, to boot, it'll probably get a few scratches and scuffs on it over the miles, and since she plans on keeping hers forever, she's not fooling with it.Agree with ViennaK...adopt the scuffs as your own...get over it and buy it.
