The link is https://www.adapter3dmotorrad.com/en/product/e-k6xt/. It is K1600-specific, but maybe they make if for other models too.
That's the same mount @peterb was referring to.The link is https://www.adapter3dmotorrad.com/en/product/e-k6xt/. It is K1600-specific, but maybe they make if for other models too.
Good luck take lots of pics videos etc. I am about to do 3/5 of what you said.Underway starting this evening. I'll do a little at a time after working hours. No rush. Starting with the rear of the bike.
Radianz license plate frame lights
Skene IQ-260
Innovv K3 Dash Cam
Clearwater Betsy Running Light
Schreodie White/Yellow badge lights
Started by removing the amp and starting the bike. No visible errors. (Might have thrown codes, but I didn't check.)
Using 3M double lock tape for mounting components.
Adjusted the exCAN settings for my new configuration. (Mostly AUX setting, as it won't be controlling the rear lights.)

How many miles did you get out of the original tires? Not sure if you'd call it a project but the new GTL needs a new pair of tires, went with Dunlop at the suggestion of my dealer, I will mount them or have them mounted sometime this winter. I am thinking about a new seat and windshield, and that's about it.
I would absolutely love living in Northern California for the opportunity it gives for cool summers, riding, hiking, backpacking, etc! But am unsure on some things!Greetings,
Unfortunately, I have to tolerate quite a bit to live in Southern California (please don't get me started).

I have almost 7K on my Roadsmart 3's. about to put new ones on!Good to hear. @Gunnert scared me with his 4K mile tires.Glad to hear you’re close to 7K. I’m at 6K and rear tread looks good, but not sure if I want to wait another 1-2K miles to change it out.
I'm hoping you mistyped "...dealer sold me on Dunlop 4 Elites." And he meant to say "Dunlop RoadSmart 4". Dunlop doesn't offer an Elite to fit the K1600....I didn't go out and check the odometer, but my "Connected App" tells me i have 6,808 miles. The rear could go a bit more but it's really time to change it out. The front is actually in pretty good shape, enough tread to go another 3,000 miles for sure, but I plan to change them both out before the spring riding season starts. My dealer sold me on Dunlop 4 Elites. I always rode Metzlers on my Honda VTX and they were not recommended. I never had any trouble with them, but we will see how the Dunlops perform.
So..... Thought I'd come back here and update...Considering.....
And I'm sure, whilst I'm doing those, other things may spring to mind.
- Upgrading the brake and indicator lights I have on my side cases.
- Installing Amber covers on the stock aux/fog lights
- Maybe incorporating an indicator repeater into the mirrors.
- Adding additional lights inside the top case that actually throw some light when the lid is open.
