I have a 2019 K1600GT that came with a Wunderlich Marathon windshield. I find it a bit blustery at highway speeds and was wondering if there is a better alternative. I never had the OEM windshield so I can't compare to that. I don't ride 2 up very often so that isn't much of a concern. I don't ride in the rain either.
What windshield are you running?

I have changed my GT screen to a 20`` Klock Werks Flip screen and love it. You will get lots of different opinions on what is best and what is not, that depends on so many things. My experience with the Klock Wreck Flip screen is that
A. It doesn't have to be massive so even in the normal low position you can see over it.
B. It is wider than the standard OME screen
C. Quite and a lot of protection.
D. You can adjust it to the height that works for you without having to look through the screen and still has the advantages of A, B, and C above. This is just my opinion and what works for me so take it for what is my opinion and then go with what you think will best suit your riding needs. If you get a chance to try another screen from someone you know who has one of the above I suggest trying it if you can and go from there. All the best as screens are never cheap, we dont have the volumes of brands etc. here in Australia so that makes it hard to get a chance to try another member's screen should they be willing to allow that.
Good luck.

Thank you.

I had a similar flip type screen on an R1200RT and liked it.
I’ll check out the Klock screen.

Here is my Klock Wrek Flip screen, I thought I had posted the photos but can't find them If I did lol so here I go again haha!! I am 5` 6` to give you an idea of rider heights with the 20` Flip Screen. I am sure it would be fine with anyone up to 6. but don't take my word on that last bit.

I have a 2023 K1600GT...OEM screen.....5'9 and the OEM screen sure does not help with keeping things quiet......I have the SENA SRl mesh for my Neotech II helmet and at highway speeds can barely hear the music.
The GT screen is shorter than the GTL screen, I had the same issue with my 2014 GT screen, couldn't hear the radio above about 55 mph. No issues hearing the radio when I bought my 2016 GTL.

Curious, how is the Klock Werks Flip screen for helmet buffeting compared to the OEM GT screen?

Mine is excellent the wind flows over my head, if I were taller I would only need to raise the screen slightly. No wind noises either. I can honestly say the Flip screen is miles ahead of the OME GT screen and I dare say it may be the same with the GTL screen as the GTL and K.W. are both 20`` in height. I don't even feel any back pressure from the wind pushing the riders forward as I have not experienced that in any way.

That screen looks great on your rig. Nice setup all around.

I finally just got around to getting a (very) little bit of time with my new Klock Werks Flare 20". It is definitely superior to the stock GTL screen, but I was only able to test it up to about 60 mph due to traffic and passenger constraints. Trying the full range of positions, wind noise and buffeting is reduced, but not gone, back pressure that I felt with the stock unit all the way up is gone. Passenger reports no noticeable difference. There is a significant visual distortion in the "flare" section, but looking over the screen that's a non-issue. I'm 6'2", both of us have Shoei RF1200 helmets.

FWIW, I think the Klock Werks looks better than the stock unit.

If you're ever in the Greater Los Angeles area and want to try the stock GTL screen let me know.
