October 3 - public holiday in Germany. A good opportunity for the cutter to follow the rest of the group into the Dolomites. Start at 3 degrees at 4 a.m. in Nuremberg only to find out that the Paso Rollo has a refreshing 2 degrees in the morning. I praise the grip and seat heating of our battleships. The blue sky and the high mountain panorama make up for the crazy action.

What is being used to get the owl eyes to modulate on those k1600s?

And are they modulating from 100 to...above 17% or just turning on and off?

I didn't know there was a headlight modulator that would work on the CANBUS'd K16's LED headlights, or the owl eyes.

My guess is they are not modulating and it is a function of the camera strobing. Same thing that makes it look like wheels are moving backward on the TV...

Quite right, the LED rings do not emit continuous light but a pulsed light. Because human eye has no problem with that. We film at 50fps - and it is possible that this effect occurs.
