The last two days are all over Germany - after 12 days and 4480 km the last gentlemen arrive safely at home. In total, over 1000 liters of premium gasoline were burned and 4 sets of tires were in urgent need of renovation.
Every day, every km and every drop of fuel was used joyfully.
At the same time, this was probably the last long tour on YouTube with the K1600. Due to some annoying shortcomings in the newer K1600 with EURO4 approval from model year 2017, our group is now starting to switch to other models and brands. More on that in the next few weeks.

Passengers on the K1300S: Kay, the Pinneberger and chocolate lover.

Music: Many thanks to Kai Hartwig, whose music goes very well with our battleships. Gemafreie Musik Kostenlos

You are just tormenting me Michael - UK lockdown (essential journeys only) means none of my bikes have been out this season & we still have no exit plan.

Is there no news in Germany on a prospective dely for Euro5? - rumour was that it would be set back 12 months, alongside the EU fines for auto manufacturers who exceed CO2 fleet targets, given the cost of stopping the production lines. Here BMW Motorrad seem obsessed with advance sales of the R18, so we have no news on the K1600's future still.

Torture was not my intention - rather a weak substitute for lost driving pleasure.
I have not heard a postponement of the EURO5.
The problem with our K1600 starts with the Euro4 version. When you are sitting at home on the iMac and have to watch a fleet of battleships in the Swiss mountains together in the red area and the cooler boils over, the fun stops for me. And these were all K16 of the Euro4 version. Check it out for yourself from 8:15
When the R1800 is delivered, I don't give the K16 a long time until it is put to sleep. Unfortunately, and that makes me extremely sad!
