@Booger Man I get you. I wasn’t trying to disparage your “non-certified” 1000 mile ride. You did it because it has meaning, even if it’s just to yourself. Ultimately that’s what matters.
One benefit to going through the process, getting certified, and then wearing it on your sleeve 😉 is that it can inspire others. I know of a least one guy I see at the Rock Store every so often who poo-pooed my frame when he first saw it. Fast forward almost a year and he proudly showed me his own. It turns out he took it as a personal challenge, and it opened up his eyes to a type of riding he had never considered. Chalk one up to hopefully providing value to the broader touring community. 👍
