I agree, it is acting just like it is overloading and tripping its electronic breaker. The thing is...it is its own circuit. It has a fused hot wired directly to the battery. I’m anxious to hear from the manufacturer.
I have the Hex ezCan...which is almost the same thing. I've been a beta tester for it and have provided Hex a fair amount of feedback.

Check the programmable fuse limits. You might want to check that they're high enough for what your lights need.

Also, the light levels can be set differently for day/night. Is it possible you have them set to 0% brightness in the day and once the "day" signal is received they turn off?
