I'm generally a fan of Big Rock Moto reviews. Here he reviews the R1250RT and declares that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread:
Having been a long time RT owner, and now a very happy GTL owner, I don't necessarily agree with his final conclusions. Much is subjective and based on our individual views on what's important, and what isn't. My value system for touring is different, so I can disagree without trashing his positions.
One area is where he reviews RT engine vibration starting at the 25:40 mark. He notes that there is a little bit of buzz at the 4500+ RPM mark. He's obviously a little bothered by it, but mostly brushes it off because of the other wonderful things the RT has to offer. Personally I couldn't make that tradeoff. Just like I couldn't live with the tradeoff of less comfortable passenger space or higher speed stability. Again, it all comes down to what's most important to each of us individually.
Anyway, it's a good watch if you have a few free minutes.
