Does anyone know what these two holes are, as pointed out in the attached picture? My guess would be either air holes, or something they need for manufacturing or assembling purposes but if the answer is anywhere, it is here on this Forum!

Could they be related to the XM antenna? I believe it sits just inside that shroud right above them...perhaps used to align/lock the antenna in place.

There would be no need for air holes there. There are plenty of ways for air to flow through that space without those.

The top of the dash has retainer fingers that snap into these holes.

I believe the holes are spots to unfasten the clips inside...just poke a nail or whatever in to pop the clips off. When I took mine off I removed all the screws but it still would not come off...have to force it off the first time until I figured it out, then I put a nail in the holes and it came right off.

Anyone need a Nav 4 dash for FREE?
