Yes ! I went from the RS3 which I got about 6500 to the RS4 which got 9K. I just installed a new set of RS4 today. They still had tread on them. Here are the tires that I just removed. They had just short of 9 K on them.
I just did a SS1000 last week thru Mo,Ok & Ks. When I left home the tire had over 7500 miles on them.
That's the kind of info I was looking for. Was there noticeable handling difference too? How was the ride home with that front tire?

I couldn’t tell any handling difference. Ride home was good. I kept my eyes on the tires since they had 7500 miles on them. I was somewhat worried I would run out of tread on the rear but the tire hung in there. I’m not like some on the forum that claim they can wear out a set of tires in 3500 miles, but I am no slouch either. The one funny thing is the front tire would show scallops and then disappear from time to time. So that’s how the front finished up. 42 psi front and rear. In the past I liked Michelin tires but Dunlop RS4 is better than the PR4. Never tried the PR5. A plus is the Dunlop’s are less expensive and if you get a set before the end of June you get $40 or $60 bucks back with rebate to boot. Hope this helps. Watch out for that K C Muchmore guy😁

Don’t you have a house to go work on?
My gawd if it would ever stop raining I would for sure! Actually it's down to mostly interior stuff right now getting ready for paint but I can't get to my shop to put doors on it until it dries out a little bit. We have been getting rain like every other or every third day keeping the mud around.

When is this local group gonna get together and do something fun? We ought to get up early some Sat morning and ride down to southern MO or northern AR and burn some fuel. It won’t make any difference in the world but I think we ought to do it anyway. Maybe bunk up in a couple motel rooms and burn some more fuel Sun morning before coming home.

I’ll be in StL the wknd of the MOA. Son is playing in a regional soccer tourney vying for a spot in the national finals. So I won’t see anybody in Springfield. July and Aug get pretty warm. But maybe we just get a good forecast and decide to go. Keep it on the back burner.

I may make a run the Sat before Memorial Day with my son as pillion. We have a wedding celebration in Joplin to attend on that Mon. We need something to do before his Jr year in HS starts.

Did we ever determine who from the KC group is going to MOA? I am headed there on Thurs. and plan to stay through early afternoon Saturday before heading back to KC. Would like to meet anyone going.

I'll be at the MOA Rally Tuesday thru Friday afternoon. There is a group camping area at the rally and for the last few years the K1600forum has registered for a spot in each of the rally's group camping area. We'll have a 20x20 canopy set up with a bright yellow cloth sign with "K1600" in black letter and numbers. There's room on the site for tent camping. For more information, look for the MOA 2022 Rally thread on the forum. I'm having trouble finding the thread to give you a link. I believe there's a site map on that thread also. Regardless, the group camping area is in the upper NE part of the fairgrounds. There should be direction signs in camping area and people around to ask for directions.

Should be another fun get together. The more the merrier when it comes to numbers at the MOA Rally. My "Ride Across the Country" card has been revoked for a few months, so I'll have to sit this one out. Enjoy!

Once you have your travel card again hopefully there's a time slot down the road to get together again! This rally is about 180 miles from me. Quite the jaunt but I think I'm up to it 🥴

I'm tellin' ya, we need to plan a mini weekend gathering for anyone who can attend... out of Eureka Springs perhaps. Any of the CA crew would be welcome. Maybe regular gas will be back under $5/gallon by the end of summer.

It was buried deep in the threads but here's the MOA rally 2022 thread. Post 47 has the site map linked to it. Post 42 shows a picture of what the sign looks like. Hope to see you there Slinger105! And it's Charter camping instead of Group camping. Sorry.
Thanks, we'll make sure to find the tent. Look forward to meeting everyone. We are staying downtown. Found a good spot a number of years ago when my daughter was going to school in Springfield.

I see possibilities for an IBA 1500 in 24 hours patch. @Thomas could also be interested 👍
That BBG is about as tough as it gets. Don’t know that I’ll ever do another one. I won’t say never.

You’d definitely know. 😊 At the end of my SS1000, I asked myself if I could continue on for another 500 miles with 8 hours left. It would have been in the dark of night when I’d normally be sleeping, which for me is another layer of difficulty. Yea, I’d really have to think about it.

I have a 2p wedding to attend, Sun afternoon of Labor Day weekend, in Joplin, MO. I'm think about riding down to AR Fri after work, or saving the motel cost and leaving early Sat morning. Would likely be taking my 17yo son with me as a passenger. I would stay in AR Sat night and head toward Joplin mid morning Sun. If anyone is interested, give me a shout or keep it in mind.

I'm riding to Joplin next Fri night and hope to hit AR for a day ride on Sat Aug 5th. Would love to cross paths if anyone happens to be down there or might want to be.

So I left Joplin at 7:30a this morning. Got back at 3p. Stopped for fuel twice. Stopped to review the map a time or two as well. Plus Peel Ferry ride. Rode over 400 miles…about 411. Averaged almost 55mph if my math is correct.
That’s a pretty good average with all the twisty roads I hit.

Rode from Joplin over to Sparta MO and then across two new roads, T and UU. Wide open, good pavement. Almost hit a deer. Soooooo glad I had been trail braking and had front brake covered even though I was on a relative straight section. Most certainly would have hit her if I had to reach for lever as opposed to simply squeezing it quickly. It gave her juuuust enough room to clear my front end. Within 3’ at about 50mph. It was over before I could even think about it.

Then took 125 and the ferry. Good stuff there. First time I’ve heard south. Have run north 2 other times. Rode right in to ferry with one car on it. Started moving as soon as I pulled helmet off. I waited a long time last journey.

Enjoyed ride down the just shy of Mt Judea and then across 74 (the little dragon some call it) his fuel again in Springdale and then hauled back to Joplin.

Very light traffic. A really good day. Executed some really good curves. Had a couple awkward ones too. We need to make a plan to chase each other around down here.
