Do you feel more stringent identity measures are necessary for this site for those who sell?

1. Minimum post count
2. Comments on member profile posted by buyers and sellers transacting with the person (Some forums have this ability in the software.)
3. Providing a recommended second reference like the persons eBay handle or similar forum ID (I am xyzabc on forum 123456)

Having been scammed twice on other sites I feel stupid and am now overly cautious.

Purely my opinion....we all need to learn from the mistakes of others and spread the word.

We have done this and this post is proof of that.

This forum is like your neighbourhood. You know some, some are new. I would not eTransfer money to someone I did not have a lot of faith in.

I agree with @Prince that the "neighborliness" of this site is a big draw for me (curmudgeons notwithstanding). I brought this topic up for the community to see we think of these things; I see crooks everywhere. ;)

What do I know today? 90% have no opinion and half of those who do, do not feel there is a lurking threat. I love democracy.

Personally, I wish I had a hacker-seeking missile.
